Mullantimore

Mullantimore

Our design approach was informed by a sensitive reading of the existing context, engaging with the natural flow and inherent topography of the site. The plot proved to be an ideal setting for this type of intervention, offering the scale and proportion necessary to accommodate the proposal. Its generous width and depth enabled a considered and efficient access strategy.

Mullantimore 2

This fifteen unit residential development comprised 2/3/4 bed dwellings. The scheme included vehicular and pedestrian access, on-site parking, public lighting, private and communal amenity spaces, boundary treatments, and connections to public services.

The design aimed to deliver high-quality contemporary housing that respected the character of the Village, with a focus on human-scale streetscapes, durable materials, refined detailing, and sustainable performance.

The 0.61-hectare site, located south of existing village, adjoined the community centre. Defined by mature hedgerows and a cluster of pine trees, it represented a logical infill extension of the village, strengthening pedestrian connections and continuing its established linear form.

A landscape-led approach integrated existing vegetation, enhanced biodiversity with native planting, and created safe shared spaces, while streets, pathways, and lighting were designed to promote walkability, and visual coherence, fostering a connected community.
